TIRED & GRUMPY

I am grumpy because we are in LAST PLACE for house points. GGGRGRRRRR

I am tired because I had to leave the dorm at 3:30 this morning to work with the Magical Creatures and it is another below zero day. I know it is my choice to do extra but 3:30???? isssh

I had fun in Perpetua's room the other day playing Guitar Hero, it is FUN and that turned into a late night!! I wonder if I can talk my mom into sending my guitar so two people can play at the same time. There is a song on there by the group KISS- titled Rock-n-Roll all night and Party everyday. Kind of fits into Ravenclaws theme.....;) WE all should learn it, it is a rather catchy tune.

I wish my dogs were here to snuggle with me while I take an afternoon nap, they just aren't the same.

Too Cold 1-23-08

And so, another week has started at Hogwarts, being 11 and away from home has taken sometime getting use to. I do believe I had an easy time with it since my best friend Gabriella and my cousin Celestina are also my dormmates. I would really like to know how the Sorting hat knows so much, then again it will be a Hogwarts secret never to be told....

It was cold this weekend and being outside with the animals was hard. I am glad Esmeralda always has something warm in our commons area, it helped me thaw out. Today, it is not any warmer and I am sitting here in my finger gloves and eyeing my hat.

I spent Sunday indoors working on tote bags for the Secret Swap. Gabby and I have people from the same house so we are sharing the work. Last week we made stitch markers, next week who knows.

Quiz#2 was hard 5 &10 were the hardest for me. Most of the answers were in the table of contents, lucky me to have seen that otherwise I might still be working on it.

I am going to see if Perpetua is done with homework and see if she wants to play Guitar Hero. We are funny things Muggles. 8)

Number 5 was hard for me. I went to bed last night around 11pm mad because I could not figure it out, I woke up mad too. After doing word play for another hour this afternoon it finally came to me.

Thursday

What a busy week for a first week. The homework is barely manageable but somehow it all gets done with some free time. I was talking with Serafine Starfire last night about her canary incident and she it happend all at once no hint of anything nefarious. Those sly 7th years, my thought is it must of happened to them so they think it must be ok to have it happen to someone else.

We had a spector come into the Ravenclaw common room last night. Being a spector you can guess it was rude to the point that our Prefect needed to contact the Headmistress so now we too have a "protection" charm put onto our room.

There was alot of talk about bags for our Swap Partners. 50/50 split between knitting and sewing it.

I took a fall down a moving staircase this afternoon. It started to move just as I was stepping on to it. It is swollen a bit and hurts so I am not doing to much walking this afternoon. I do hope the swelling goes down for this weekend. If it is not too cold, I want to help with some of the Magical Creatures to get a better understanding of them. They are SO different from the muggle animals that I know.

Since my day started at 4am with Magical Creatures, I am feeling tired so I am going to take a nap before our evening meal. I had better set an alarm charm to wake up.

Tuesday---8(

Mother sent me an Owl to let me know the chocolate I bought for my swap partner was eaten last night by my dog Isis. I sent it home to be safe from me, guess that plan did not work out. Mom heard some noise going on in my room and was wondering what one of my cats might be playing with. No, cat just a dog pushing an empty tin
around trying to lick it to the last drop.


Professor Humperdink has such a nice speaking voice with an accent I can not place a country to that I zoned out completely during class. His voice reminds me of a muggle actor smooth as silk with a nice rumble tenor.

Herbology is fun nothing better than playing with plants, dodging spewn puss, sharp needles and dirt. Ah....what fun.

Time to find me an afternoon snack while I do homework.
