to do to do--things to do this week-finish a project for Miz Winifred then get a box a pack it all up and get another Owl cause the one I sent out to Miz Winifred back in October never came back. So much for recycled birds...

I think the package is going to require something larger to deliver it. I have never sent anything besides myself via floo--i wonder if a package would go..

I am working on the bedford springs shawl with dinner bell ruffle very nice pattern and the malabrigo-stone colourway is just too beautiful...might not give it away as a holiday present.

not sure what is going on with the computer but i can not upload pictures from any of my computers which is torking me off...

so,while i do have the homework done-per sae- i cannot complete it to its full extent

and in the project world---the bag that i worked so hard on last week friday-had an error in the instructions- and a major part was forgotten-so i am debating on whether so rip it out,keep it for myself or make a new one for her....

what torks me off is that as i was putting it together it did not seem right and i just could not put my finger on it until i was done and i mean DONE(cause i spent the entire day cutting and sewing) that there was something wrong-blah--

the actual teaching part of my ST Mungo's Pilates start next week and I feel so unprepared. Just like i felt unprepared for my anatomy quiz this week, which went well, extremely well, just inhale feel the lower lobes of your lungs expanding left to right, exhale and answer the questions!!

Sorry, I know i have not been chatty as much this term. Things on the homefront have been a bit busy for me and my computer time has taken a hit. This will change sometime next week I hope!!

Thank You everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes. I had a pleasant day doing things that Elanor and I agreed upon. I had my hair cut a bit shorter wtih a bit more spikes put into it. Then off to pilates where i was able to pick what I wanted to work on and it was an hour of LEGS!!!! UGH! Becareful of what you ask for....then a massage and an afternoon of knitting with friends at the Double EWE, then eats with another group of friends. There was talk of going up to Albertville for a bon fire but we were all too tired to make the hour drive and since Setembrina had class at 8:30 in the morning and did not want to be hung-over (baby--lol) we went our separate ways and that was the day.

Things have been hoping for me this week.
Work does take up the first 5 hours of my day then it is over to St Mungo's to hang out an hour and a half before I do my internship. That is three hours--three times a week plus there is the observation hours that I have not started but need to do.
Getting home muggle style takes an hour and there is not anywhere along the route to do observation. I guess I could hang out in St Mungo's for two hours and get home in time to go to bed to get up and do it all again. Amen.

I am so glad that homework this term can be done via the muggle computers-it is a good thing we can use cross technology and skills. Owls take a bit too long and if your Owl as mine is-is a bit difficult-things tend to get a bit messed up along the way. And that my friend is the problem with recycled birds, they tend to miss their old owners and take it out on the new. Not sure what the issue is I give it plenty of fresh pinkies all the way up to 1 year old mice plus add in a few other small animals that I was told she likes but still-A-TT-I-T-U-D-E!!

Next week I hope will be better and I will be able to settle down into the busy schedule I set for myself. Perhaps I should make every Friday a date Friday with Wisty. I was a grand way to spend a few hours this afternoon with her. She has such tremendous energy it is great way to revitalize! And she is a great person to shop with because she has about as much impulse control as I do....

1-several fake passports and ID cards--because if i am hiding i do not want to use my real name.
2-crap loads of pre-paid cell phones.--because i do need to my family & friends even if it is for a short one minute
3-my lock pick set-because i might need to stay in a few model homes while in hiding--far cheaper than a hotel
4-credit cards-these will go along with #1-
5-post cards from exotic islands sent to various people done via Internet using my fake credit cards
6-yarn--and a new ravelry ID...you become someone's cousin---;)

but if you really want to find me, i will be in Guatemala with the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy

So the fall finds me back amongst fellow Hogwarts members.
The past year has been busy for me moving into a new to me house out in the country. The Sandhill cranes are calling in the field behind my house. They are LARGE birds and they are LOUD birds.

Isis lost her buddy Marmalade on Valentines day but we found her another buddy and his name is Growler. But she was not happy with him and said she wanted a puppy so a few weeks ago Azazel came to live with us. So far he is living up to his name in the adorable puppy fashion.
Now Bo is lamenting not having his own puppy to play with and he is looking for one for himself. We shall see how this search goes....

technology is great and it is also frustrating when pictures will not upload.

She even included a gift for my K-9's which they love.

Right now I am wrapped up in the scarf which is tightly knitted. WOW!!!!!! Perfect tension on a scarf that is 6' long! The hat is supremely knitted as well and kept me warm today on this balmy winter day. I am not sure what fabric softener she uses but it smells nice.

Now, all I need to do is hook up with Neila to give her the kit or mail it off to her since we are having a hard time meshing schedules.

i can not believe that i forgot to blog last week. Then again nothing interesting happened last week.

my arm is still a bit sore from last weeks game even though Madame Pomfrey took care of it after the game. i did not think i would have so much fun as a beater since i am a rather passive person. it works wonders for frustrations.

I was sent an Owl yesterday to let me know there is something coming my way, I can not wait. I love getting gifts and presents. These are the kind of surprises one should have every day. Not the kind of surprise that makes you hate getting out of bed....

Our World Traveling Headmistress is in Mexico. Where they celebrate the Day of the Dead. It is one of the biggest religious outings the country celebrates. I would go just for the food!

This weeks weather has been great for practice and the air is smelling of Fall that I sometimes wish it was Fall all year round. Or maybe get it in a Parfume... Wonder if I could make something in Potions...

It has rained the entire week. I am glad the weekend of the Bon-Fire was nice. Although a bit more of the fall warm weather would have been ideal for the beginning of Quidditch. Even with all of the rain we have been practicing, I am so glad that we have warm towels waiting for us when we are done. That and a super long bath make all of the hurts so worth it.

Today we do not have class so I am snuggled inside next to the fireplace with some tasty hot chocolate and some tasty cookies. I am almost done with my knitting for Wisteria's kit. I hope she likes them because I have to be honest and say the colours are making my eyes twitch.

Waverly still has yet to call me about going on a short trip on Saturday so I am going to think of something to do just incase I do not hear from her. I have a muggle series called True Blood on DVD I could watch them. I have read all of the books so we shall see if muggles bugger up book to series as much as we do. Creative license and all that crap.

Another series I have been enjoying is call Blood in the Wire. I think the lead male is sort of cute in that idiot savant sort of way. Dean laughs at me, but hey...sometimes cute is just cute....

I miss Violent, I wish she would have come back to so I could have someone to create new potions with...I miss her swearing in French.

Rumor has it Headmistress was in London last week and is in Quebec, Montreal. She is in the search of Maple Syrup. Has anyone pointed out to her that Fall is not the season for tapping the Sugar Maple trees? Although, I am certain she will find some wonderful syrups in the shops.

Bonfire on Saturday was grand fun. I have lost my voice from all of the singing the we did. Cassandra Crimsonchin must be a walking jukbox!! She knows alot of songs.

Wisteria makes some good s'mores. I ate so many of them I could have pucked.

Hermione and I danced and danced and danced. Waverly showed us a few of the dancers that are native her people.

Good times I hope were had by all. Can not wait to read what others had to say about the Bon-Fire

Wisty sent me an Owl stating that I would look good as a Wigtown Wanderer. She said it was the axe that would be spectacular on my robe.

Rather gruesome if you think about it but on the same token, rather fitting. It is always the shy quiet ones you have to watch out for. So, my team mates have welcomed me back with open arms since I did not join them for Summer Camp.

I do need to get a new broom something a bit lighter and a tad bit faster.

Which is fine for me since I have to pack everything from the last four terms this week. I will not be doing Summer Camp and I am not sure which house I am going to be in next term. Maybe the Hat will put me back in RavenClaw or maybe I will transfer abroad and learn in the States.

This term has flown by so fast that I am not sure it even happened. Except that I have pictures and stuff.

Did I mention that I was spoiled TWICE this term by HRM Frysia? She hates charts and I love them so I wrote a pattern out for her and she sent me CHOCOLATE-DARK CHOCOLATE. and some yummmmmmmy lace in a spring green.

is this not THE most prettiest green?
i do need a pattern for it so perhaps

violent and i went down to Hogsmeade last weekend cause she needed to do some shopping for someone in Slytherin House.

I asked my mother if i can go to summer camp this year and she said no. I guess we are doing so sort of family vacation and seeing the sites of the US. Not sure if I can stand to be in an automobile with my smelly brother for an extended period of time.

I have made a few more bags after making Cass's and I have figured out the secret to making the handle better than the instructions. Mom is sending me some of her quilting fabric that she thinks will work for handbags. Good thing she has a stash of fabric.

I can not believe the week has passed so quickly and I have not done much to report.
My roommate Chrysta had to leave and go home to help stop flooding. It appears that magic can not stop floods. What a shame.

My kit for my spoilee is done and I think I will send it out next week. She has so much stuff in her kit I am guessing it will take my grey heron to carry it instead of my cute little owl.

My Malabrigo star capelet #6 is coming along swimmingly and I might just try to do a more complex lace shawl over the summer break or just do back to my love of socks.

This morning for a dorm treat I made Scotch eggs. What you do is boil eggs, peel them, roll the sausage around the egg (i use jimmy dean), then for an added flavor roll them in mustard, then into a bread crumb mixture. Mine is Panko crumbs, corn meal and bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for an hour.

It does help to have an extra pair of hands to help with the rolling. So when one is forming the sausage around the egg one can roll the sausaged egg in the mustard and then into the crumb mix.

We hit three stores, had a late lunch at Brit's Pub, stopped at MOA and was back at Neila's house by 6pm where here hubby took this picture of us via my cellphone.

It was a great day and we did not hit three that were on my list of stores. That I guess will be for another day as well as dyeing of the yarn.
As soon as the weather here warms up a bit, I am going to have an afternoon get together, nothing is better than knitting in a park like setting with good friends and good food.

This week has blown by in a hurry. I missed playing quidditch this week. I was rather busy with homework, visiting my Uncle and Dean came to visit. i have not seen much of him this term his work has been keeping him busy.

I guess someone let out a sticky ball during quidditch and things became a mess. But that is nothing new, it seems at least once a term someone lets an experiment fly and things go wonky. I truely believe it is the free house elves that are doing it.

Violent is depressed because her Ravenclaw dumped her to date a Slytherin girl. Which is rather silly of him because she is/was Slytherin last term and changed houses because of him. I zapped him with a week long colour spell(yes, i have been working on this one). I would feel sorry for him changing to all of the colours of the houses when he talks to a girl but really why?

Poor Violent has been stuck doing the worst job in the world scrubbing the bathrooms through out Hogwarts from being caught sneaking back in on Friday.

We have been working on breaking the spell Dumbledore put on her. She can only answer questions that are asked by Professors. It takes a long time for her to write out her answers long hand. She is very wordy.

I was in the infirmary on Monday. I had to leave class early because I have been struck down with the flu. It was nice that I had a private room since the flu can hit a body in many different places at once. Today I was sent back to my dorm room, I am not feeling 100% but I have been told it will take a few days to feel 'right as rain.' Whatever that means. Rain is cold and wet and I do not like being cold nor wet.

Time to take a nap, this headache is draining me.

Holy Cow has the time flown by this term. The first quidditch match has come and gone we tried hard to find the snitch but we did not get it. THIS TIME.

I was busted sneaking back into the dorm on Friday night and was not suppose to go to town with the rest of the girls but go to detention instead. Since Violent and I were not going to be allowed in the same room together, I decided I was going to try my astral project. Low and behold it worked. It felt great being able to fool Trewlaney but it does not take much.

Spent the rest of the afternoon teaching some of the first term students some of the drinking games we play when I go back and hang out the muggles. It was fun but Petunia was not there to do karaoke with me so I did not do any singing or howling as most people call it.

Antonio came up with a great homework project for us to do last week. I do not think I can top it even if I tried. I am going to have Violent come up with one too, makes my life a bit easier. :)

All in all things have been quiet here in Hufflepuff dorms. Kind of nice.

And so the term has begun and my roommates are settling in nicely. It is nice that we have roomed before so, we know each others quirks and know how to work around them.

We have a section of the room parted off for our dyeing stuff. It is close to the windows so we are not knee deep in stink. I have not created anything as of yet. I need to get some skeins put together and see if my Muse will come for a visit. It is the wrong time of year for her to come out but I am starting to feel the drain in the creativity department.

The three of us are in transfiguration together and have the luck of sitting at the same table. This should be interesting to see what happens in this class. I was suppose to take Divination again but I put my foot down and told my Uncle there was no way I was going to waste my time with tea leaves and glass balls. I would rather clean out stalls...and so, that is what I am doing. Which is fine with me. Isis did not come with me this term, she missed Bo too much. So, I am getting my animal fix this way.
Besides, I get to play with the babies...

Time to go and check on the 1st years and see what they are doing. They are rather loud.

So, I had the pleasure of escorting Miss Waverly home today. She had forgotten her cauldron and some other supplies which one needs in order to excel at Hogwarts. While we were out and about I realized we had time to hit a few of the muggle shops.

I do love the floo network. Silly muggles, they never understand how we 'appear'.

I did find the most wonderful fabric for Cass's bag and some other bits too. THere is a ton of pressure to get this right otherwise I will be put on the Crucio list, which is not a right and proper place to be.

There are three people that know what the fabric looks like so I am safe with the fact that she will pester the two that are in her own house to find out the information.

Man, has time flown by and I think I am just about settled into the new dorm as I can possibly be.

I did have to remove a wall for my extra stuff that came with me from Slytherin, like, well never mind. Dean came by to bring me a new scarf, have I mentioned how cute he is. He also said things are getting busy on his end so he might not be able to visit as much this term but is planning on being here for Valentines day and St. Patrick's day.

Chrysta has most of her stuff moved over from Birdland and Violent has not shown up yet from France. This has me concerned a bit but not too much. I sent Sam, Dean's brother to find her. He is better than a hounddog in the fall at finding people.

I have been slacking in getting this terms homework planned. I do have one student making a sock pattern and having it test knitted as her project for term. She needs to have weekly postings and pictures. I wish her all the luck. It is something that I have yet to tackle. I just can not find the time nor the energy to do so.

I had better get to making the assignments or I will be winging it...which might not be such a bad idea.

Our room is going to smell like a wet dog that has been shaved badly, I can just see it now. Then again, I did see it when I was in RavenClaw two terms ago.

It looks like I am moving once again for the third time. I am off to HufflePuff this term, it appears that Lavender Ackerly disappeared just before term and can not be found.

My Uncle asked me if I would mind going there to help out and try to keep them in line. I do not think I will have as much work to do with HP as with S. Even as Prefect last term, it was alot of work. But they are a great group of girls and I will miss them.

For Halloween Violent and I charmed a bunch of Jack-o-lanterns and had them bite all of the first year students. We had to include some of our first years so it could not be traced back to us. It was the best prank EVER!!!
After we set them loose, we went into the forest with Forenze to work on our Astronomy project. I think Violent might be sweet on him. She has now been finding reasons to go and visit him. It is cute.

That punk kid Rufus has been following Tia around like a bad rash and even sent her some flowers that he charmed to sing to her. They were cute for about 10 minutes then I had to toss them into the fire place.

I sent out my package to my Ravenclaw gal, I have not heard if she has received it yet. I hope she likes it.

This week has been busy between birthday celebrations, homework, detention from the Potions mess last week. Which I found out there were three items labeled wrong while sorting through all 1000 of them.

Petunia sent me a birthday owl and while it was sitting on my shoulder waiting for its treat it bit me. Blasted bird took a bite out of me and took some skin so it did not get a treat. I figure my skin was treat enough for it.

It begins with Professor Trelawney giving a card reading. The results do not make much sense when reading the chapter and you think it is another one of her drunken statements. As the story continues, you do realize there is some merit to her babbling.

Harry wonders if going into the Pensive will help him survive against Voldemort. Professor Dumbledore answers neither yes nor no but says "It has a very great deal to do with the prophecy."

It is where we follow Bob Ogden's memory and see what a horrible life a family that lives only in the past and on pride can have. Years of in-breeding causing insanity to run in the Gaunt family vein. Lack of sense, delusions of grandeur squandered family gold leaves the last of Salzar Slytherin's family in poverty. Not exactly what I think he had wanted.

We meet Merope Voldemort's mother and Tom Riddle Senior. We know she used the Imperius Curse on him and quite possibly a love potion to gain access to his "love". In less than a year, Merope being delusional about love stops using both on Tom and he finally wakes up, realizes the error he made and leaves Merope pregnant.

By doing this, this pushes the already mentally fragile Merope over the edge and she slowly starts dying.

We do find out that Professor Dumbledore has found the ring-with the Perverell coat of arms engraved on the stone-, was wearing it when him and Harry went to talk with Professor Slughorn (who is an excellent POTIONS teacher). It is also left for translation, that is how the Professor injured his hand.

It now shows us that the GREAT LORD VOLDEMORT is nothing but a fake and not the Pureblood that he says he is. Carring on the great family pride and deluisions of grandeur.

Hogsmead was a fun-fun-fun time. I am so glad there is the rule of no picture taking cause some of us were rather naughty this weekend.

I went with Petunia, Violent, and Thomasina into town. They are all first years and it was rather fun. We hit all of the regular stops and picked up what we needed. Violent does need to special order somethings from France of us to use in Potions Class. Monday we did have a disaster and our project just spewed all over and kept growing and fizzing. While it was rather funny, the Professor was NOT amused. We have detention on Saturday. MY FIRST.

Violent and I agree that his ingredients were mislabeled otherwise it would not have happened. But you can not argue with the Professor because HE is never wrong.

Anyway, back to town and what happened.

We all went over to Hog's Head for a few cups of our favorite beverage and me being muggle raised, I thought I would teach the girls a bar game that we play back home. It is called QUARTERS.

You use an American quarter, a shot glass filled with your tasty shot flavor and skill. NO MAGIC.
What you do is you try to bounce the quarter into the shot glass and make a person drink the shot. You keep doing this until you miss and then it is the next person's turn. It was fun and we all became rather intoxicated in a short amount of time.

This is when Violent noticed the pool table in the corner and asked if anyone wanted to play. So, we all moved over to the pool table. I have to admit I am hopeless at this game and quickly lost the right to play for the rest of the afternoon. Violent, it seems is a pool shark and won quite a bit of money that afternoon. Petunia was good as well.
Petunia and I can not carry a tune we found out when we were doing karokee. That is the fun thing about karokee is you can be absolutely horrible and people will still like it. Although, I think a song we sang instigated a fight that trashed part of the bar. We shall take Lita Ford off of the play list and put Barry Manilow back on.

I need to gauge Petunia and her drinking much better cause she had to visit the infirmary and I had the special pleasure of wearing regurgitated firewhisey and spiked pumpkin juice.

I do believe I saw Rufus there kissing Tia and that no good Vampire was there as well doing to tonsil hockey with Petunia too..i thought he was with Andromedia.

Dean came to town and it is nice to see him.

The first week

has gone by quickly. Violent (YES, I know what her name is this one suites her, trust me) is in two of my classes. Potions and herbology.

I am trying not to get cranky with her when she says (which is quite often) "We do things better at Beauxbatons or At my old school we did things better." I am sure things were different there and maybe there done better, but you can not make friends by saying that all of the time. seriously, just go with the flow...

She is getting some of her old books from her Father and I am excited about that. WE talk endlessly about potions. Prof. Slughorn has been rather tedious to deal with since neither of us are his 'pet favorites.' We made our class project perfectly and he gave us a passing. On the way out, I slimed his chair. :)

Minee is still turning green, today is her last day of that.

My roommates are great and we are getting along so far. I am glad we have the largest room between the two dogs and all of our fiber products, potions, herbs and books, there is little room to move about.

I really should take a picture of our room.

Off to find my cheerleading outfit they hid on me.

I can not stop laughing this week. Poor Minerva Kwikspell keeps turning GREEN and Madam Pomfrey can not stop it from happening nor understand why it is happening so sporadically.

I have also seen some Hufflepuff girls I think they are first terms turning into Canaries. Poor Dears, I thought we were not going to see another case of that again. This is not my doing...HONESTLY

As most of you know I left Ravenclaw this term and became Slytherin. And as most of you know I have a sweet tooth. I went to my favorite place to get some candy, Ms Minerva Kwikspell and while I was giving the new student Violent Black a tour of Hogwarts me being me I shared my candy with her and a short while later Violent is on her way to visit Madame Pomfrey.

I spent the day with Violent Black. She is nice, a bit snotty she ate all of my candy too. Going to have to be carefull around her, since I now know she has a sweet tooth too.

It is a slow quiet morning waking up in a new dorm room. Isis has taken up most of the bed. I am still in amazement that a dog who is only 24 inches tall and 36 inches long can do that. Plus she burrowed under the covers and managed to take most of them too.

Isis is not magical like Grimm but she gets along with him just fine. It is funny watching them together because she is all dog and pretty much a spaz running, sniffing, digging, and rolling in whatever suites her fancy.
She crawled into that box and sat in front of the heater vent. She is my gift of giggles.

I was asked to be Prefect in Slytherin House and so far there has been alot of use of Muggle computers and spreadsheets. As of this morning we only have 3 people that have not updated their blogs. There have been emails and PMs sent out so it is our hope it gets done today.

It really does not take that long to do it. sigh..

today was a perfect day for doing nothing. and that is what i did.

there was little knitting done and what was done had to be ripped out because i had started on the wrong needle...sigh..

after doing that, i needed a nap. after that a friend came over and we went out exploring the grounds for the rest of the afternoon.

for eats we had chilled cucumber bisque soup. it was ok, not on the do again list unless i tinker with it.

i wrapped up all of my items for Ceciley's swap kit. Thanks Minee for giving me such a great box to reuse. Still no wine in there...;(

Really,it has been too long since I have chattered about everything that is going here in dormland.

I blame it on homework overload and dueling. Dueling has taken over my world and I have lost this round to Lily. To add to the frustration of losing, I ran out of yarn for the toe and had to use a matching shade of blue to finish. &*&%^*$%

I have also been busy getting my kit ready for Ceciley which I think is ready to go. I am going to have to triple check it because I am that way.

Chrysta and I have been stinking up the dorm again. Yesterday, I made two different colours and I hope the one that I made looks better caked than what it does as a skein. I am my worst enemy sometimes.
